Our Programs

Indoors

Indoor spaces are engaging and interactive where children can move freely from one activity to another or enjoy coming together as a group. Our rooms are well ventilated with plenty of natural lighting.

Animal Farm

In addition to our programs, the Centre has many in-service workshops throughout the year covering areas in music, singing, movement, storytelling, reptiles, sea life and indigenous themes, however the children’s favourite is the baby farm animal visit.

Practical Life

Through our Practical Life activities such as cooking children can link home to the Early Childhood environment for an easy transition. Children refine and coordinate their movements with their hands, develop their concentration periods and build skills that will allow them to contribute to society in an independent and responsible manner.

Science

Children are interested in the world around them, in nature, and science. They observe nature and gain an appreciation for the natural world laying the foundations for future studies in science, geography and history.

Outdoor

Children interact with the outdoor environment as an extension of the indoor program taking responsibility in tending to the garden, care for the environment and creating play spaces for social and physical activity of free play.

Playground

The centre provides two spacious outdoor playgrounds, one for the younger children and the other for the older. Each has its own age appropriate equipment and spaces catering for the development of fine and gross motor skills, dexterity and hand eye co-ordination in a secure and safe environment.

School Readiness

Our Approved Kindergarten Program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines and Montessori perspectives and materials in preparing each child for school readiness.

We provide a range of experiences for active use of the senses which will enable the child to classify, discriminate, evaluate and sequence. Language development is stressed including spoken, listening, writing, reading, communication and expression. Number concepts are introduced in time, distance, dimension, currency and quantity. Science and the wider world is explored and promoted.
